The Archaeological Museum of Kea was built during the 1970s in the island’s capital, Ioulida. In 2002 it was completely renovated. The Archaeological Museum of Kea houses antiquities that include items that were collected and turned over to authorities as well as objects from surface surveys, systematic and rescue excavations that illustrate the history of Kea, which has been continuously inhabited from the Neolithic period down to the present.
