The Archaeological Museum of Ios was organized by the XXI Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities in the Amoiradakeion Megaron, which was granted by the Municipality of Ios for this purpose. The Museum was inaugurated on May 30, 1999. Its organization was co-funded by the Ministries of Culture and the Aegean.
