In 2008, the Museum of Greek Folk Art created a new annex at 22 Panos Street in Plaka to house around 300 objects consisting of tools and  products of traditional labour, part of a collection of around 1,000 objects donated to the Museum by the Society for Ethnographic Studies. Thus was created the exhibition “Man and Tools. Aspects of labour in the pre-industrial world”, which deals with man and his labour.
